Ritual as Continuity
Ritual is the practice through which continuity is maintained between the visible and the unseen, the present and the ancestral, the individual and the collective.
It is not defined by form alone, but by repetition with intention. Through cleansing, offering, prayer, and other embodied acts, life is brought into ongoing relationship with forces that sustain it.
What gives ritual its meaning is not novelty, but return. Each repetition is an act of remembrance—an acknowledgment that life is not isolated, but woven into a wider field of connection.
In this sense, ritual is not separate from daily life. It is the means through which life is continually re-aligned with what is considered sacred, ensuring that relationship is not only established, but maintained over time.
