What Enters the Temple
The body receives more than food.
Everything encountered through the senses leaves an imprint. What we listen to, what we see, what we touch, what we smell, and what we place within the body all become part of us in some measure. Nothing enters without consequence.
Some impressions strengthen the temple. Others quietly diminish it. Some nourish, while others exhaust. Over time, these countless encounters shape the condition of the body, the clarity of the mind, and the steadiness of the spirit.
The elders teach that discernment is not only about what we eat. It is about everything we allow to enter our lives. The senses are gateways through which the world becomes part of us.
To care for the temple is to become mindful of what passes through those gates. Every choice leaves a trace. Every trace participates in who we become.
